While former New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey (D) may have been the poster boy of a repressed sexual orientation of a public figure, at least he had a second female he could point to, his ex-wife Karen, in addition to his second marriage to Dina Matos that at least gave the semblance of heterosexuality for a time while he was a public figure. Writer Jack Cashill, who exposed domestic terrorist Bill Ayers as the ghost writer for Barack Obama's book Dreams From My Father recently mused...
"In his 600-plus page Obama-friendly biography, The Bridge, David Remnick lays down the baseline of what the mainstream media know about the president – or at least what they want us to know.
Where Remnick falls oddly silent – not even to hector the blogosphere, which he does often – is on the question of Obama's amours.
As it happens, Obama spent 13 years as a single man on the mainland before he married Michelle in 1992 – 10 of those before he met her.
And yet, unless I missed something, despite scores of interviews with Obama acquaintances, never do we actually hear from a woman who dated Barack Obama, either in Remnick's book or in any Obama biography.
In "Dreams," Obama talks of his love life on only one occasion. When his half-sister Auma visits him in Chicago pre-Michelle, he tells Auma about a ruptured relationship with a white woman back in New York.
Obama adds, with more than a little calculation, "There are several black ladies out there who've broken my heart just as good," but we do not read as much as a single sentence about any of these ladies.
Although he speaks of the white woman briefly and in retrospect, he does so vividly and lovingly. "She was white," he tells Auma. "She had dark hair, and specks of green in her eyes."
This is no casual relationship. "We saw each other for almost a year. On the weekends, mostly. Sometimes in her apartment, sometimes in mine. You know how you can fall into your own private world? Just two people, hidden and warm. Your own language. Your own customs. That's how it was."
This nameless young woman had grown up on a sprawling estate in the country. It was during a visit to the country home that Obama began to see the distance between "our two worlds." That distance ultimately leads to their separation. "I pushed her away," Obama tells Auma ruefully.
An interracial romance should have been grist for an aspiring writer's mill, especially a writer as obsessed with racial identity as Obama, but he gives this tale only a few paragraphs.
I was not the only one to have noticed Obama's curious silence on this issue. One correspondent of mine made a compelling case that Obama's mystery woman was drawn fully from the memory of Bill Ayers and based on the great love of Ayers's life, the late Diana Oughton."

In the above linked article, Cashill lays down all of the similarities between Obama's alleged ex-girlfriend and a former paramour that Ayers is apparently obsessed with. Not that any of this really matters in relation to the performance of his job duties, I just find it quite interesting that nobody in the MSM even bothers asking the question, quote,..
"where are Obama's old girlfriends? Unlike every other president, they just don't seem to exist and there's hardly a woman alive who once had an even remotely notable lover that isn't eager to let the world know that they were once an item. If a woman has ever dated a musician or an athlete, she'll be sure to let you know about it... and there is no way that a woman who was involved with a president, let alone this particular president, would keep her mouth shut."

I doubt Barack Obama is gay, though I am big on undermining standard labels, which is why I like say "I'm gay" even though I am bisexual and have mostly been with women all my life -- it irritates and confuses people, and I think there's something productive in the exercise. Yet these multiple quarters all insinuating that Obama is "gay" (see hillbuzz.org) are really chasing their tails, to no avail. To infer such a thing from the fact that we don't know whom else he dated is to miss the mark in several places.
First, all of Obama's past has been secretly guarded. If he dated 100 women I am sure his party machine visited each and every one of them and told them in no uncertain terms to be quiet.
Second, the fact that he didn't date women doesn't mean that he dated men. That's defining "gay" as "not sexually active with the opposite sex" whereas I prefer to define "gay" as "digging the same sex" if not acting on the feelings. As you point out Jim McGreevey had girls in his past -- as do I (more than a few) -- but that doesn't stop us from being sexually attracted to men.
Third -- and this one I'm reaching on, here -- I went to the link from which you drew those excerpts and didn't like seeing that the author links his homepage to World Net Daily, the publication that keeps trying to prove that Obama was born in Kenya. The gay rumors seem just as frivolous as the Kenya rumors.
At this point if conservatives cannot mount an effective critique of the President without speculating about his private sex life, then conservatives ought to be damned for lack of common sense. There's the economy, the military, and a million other things all waiting to be dissected and analyzed from a rightist perspective. Calling the Commander in Chief a fag is too low to go there -- it is, I dare say, like what the Democrats like to do to Republicans. It won't work and it's not accurate and it demeans us. So I would say, leave Obama in the hetero column. As a queer I don't necessarily want him on my team.
JD Curtis- Developing conspiracies where there are none since 2009. Oh JD, Oh JD.
This is low rent lil buddy. Very low.
I agree with Coco Loco that the complete absence of ex-galfriends on Obama's part does not necessarily equate to Obama=gay.
I just find it quite interesting, thats all.
I just find it quite interesting, thats all.
What? That Obama doesn't kiss and tell? Boy, that really is interesting. Totally worthy of a blog post.
I think that it's quite inaccurate to equate "Obama doesn't kiss and tell" with "Not one single female has ever come forward, ever, to affirm that they once dated Obama".
JD,
All you have done is show us that you are probably a person that cannot control your sexual urges.
Unlike people such as yourself, there are many of us who have been celibate and/ or too busy with life's challenges to commit to romantic affairs.
It's none of yer buzzness, but I did not go out on a date with a girl (or guy) between 1968 and 1971 when I met my present wife. I worked and lived in a remote area and found the solitary exhilarating and one of the most exiting times of my life.
So, if you find that "interesting" or "strange" in some manner, then it says far more about you than it does about me.

Based on what? Pointing out that the Obaminator doesn't have an ex-girlfriend to speak of?
Unlike people such as yourself, there are many of us who have been celibate and/ or too busy with life's challenges to commit to romantic affairs
This sounds like sloppy rationalization, but go on...

Am I to believe that you were single at the time because Goldie Hawn and Elizabeth Montgomery couldn't track you down a lost your phone number to your Fortress of Solitude?
if you find that "interesting" or "strange" in some manner, then it says far more about you than it does about me
You mention a span of 2 years of monastic living while Obama's apparently longer than that by a factor of five.
All of this is without getting into the Donald Young controversy which I'm willing to set aside for the time being.
Hi JD, I went to that link to read that Donald Young story. I would say avoid this line of argumentation. The people at hillbuzz.org have been pushing this story for a long time but it looks like a gigantic dead end. I stopped reading hillbuzz after a while.
The Democrats won Congress in 2006 by calling Republicans closet fags for 6 straight months. They lost me at that point and I'll never vote for another Dem again. I don't want the Republicans to start following the same path.
Jd is just pissed off because BO has is successful at keeping his campaign promises, rather than Bush who did nothing...yes, nothing, except devastaing the economy and getting us into two fruitless wars.
Lopez,
BS- Reasons for the Democratic party takeover in 2006 include the decline of the public image of George W. Bush, the dissatisfaction of the handling of both Hurricane Katrina and the War in Iraq, Bush's legislative defeat regarding Social Security Reform, and the culture of corruption, which were the series of scandals in 2006 involving Republican politicians.
I went to the link from which you drew those excerpts and didn't like seeing that the author links his homepage to World Net Daily, the publication that keeps trying to prove that Obama was born in Kenya
I am of the opinion that our Kenyan-American president is a complete fraud, including his nativity story concerning the circumstances of his birth.
The above cited author, Jack Cashill, has about the best explanation as to why Obama steadfastly refuses to clear up the controversy surrounding his birth. It has nothing to do with Obama being born in Africa. Link
I went to that link to read that Donald Young story. I would say avoid this line of argumentation. The people at hillbuzz.org have been pushing this story for a long time but it looks like a gigantic dead end
I guess we'll never actually know being that the MSM wouldn't look into such an allegation for all the money in the world.
Now a George W. Bush cocaine-fueled-gay-sex rumor would send them all off running over their respective mothers to get the story out.
Bush who did nothing...yes, nothing, except devastaing the economy
"CBS points out, Obama has already added 60% of the debt in two years that Bush added in eight, and Obama is on track to add a trillion dollars more in his first term than Bush did in two" Link

Two questions here.
1. Who had the primary responsibility, according to the plan in place at the time, of respondinbg to a hurricane like Katrina in New Orleans/Louisiana? Los Federales or state and local officials?
2. Of what party were the governor of Louisiana and mayor of New Orleans at the time that Katrina hit?
I didn't see Jeb Bush on TV crying about the federal response in the storm's aftermath. He was too busy getting things done here.
JD has not denied raping a little girl in 2001
I'm sorry Froggie, but isn't this the second time that you have brought up the subject of child rape this week? Is this some macabre obsession of yours?
Being that such an accusation has never been leveled in any way and never will be, your point is moot.
Hi JD, good points. I just hope you consider my advice at least in part. There is a lot to criticize on solid grounds with Obama, without Sarah-Palinizing him in Democrat fashion.
I think in 2011 here is one narrative to explore. Much of the criticism of Bush's handling of the Iraq War is legitimate: He cherry-picked intelligence, relied too much on sensational narratives, and didn't really have a clear plan to finish the job and meet his goals. We can admit that. But what about Obama's handling of the military? I would argue that the repeal of DADT was Obama's Iraq War invasion. He cherry-picked sources and exaggerated the implications of the Pentagon survey, which wasn't even a substantive survey. Obama's lackeys in the press then deluged the public with sensational examples of gay Purple Hearts (who weren't even kicked out under DADT), Air Force colonels, a nurse who was committing adultery with a woman (?), translators, and West Point graduates. There was the inflated sense of urgency, the emotional appeals, the total silencing of the other side. And now, what has happened? They have signed a law removing the bureaucratic mechanism by which about 12,000 gays and lesbians voluntarily ended their contracts and separated from the military because they realized they had made a mistake in signing up and couldn't handle being gay in that environment. Do they have any plans to respond to these people -- 98% of the DADT cases, which we never heard about -- and their needs now? Do the Democrats expect the military to just shuffle them around from unit to unit until they kill themselves or go AWOL? Has Obama put forward any suggestions about how to secure the safety of gay male troops, how to deal with the chaplains, how to rewrite the EO codes?
NO! They are as unprepared to implement the DADT repeal as we were to overthrow Saddam Hussein. And the same pattern is evident -- bad use of statistics, manipulative examples, rash exaggerations, etc.
That's the kind of narrative we can rely on, rather than trying to smear the Prez.
"Being that such an accusation has never been leveled in any way and never will be, your point is moot."
And then so is the accusation that BO murdered Don Young unfounded because he was never accused of it. You need to learn the difference between libel and slander and why it should be important to you.
Humanists are very careful about using slander to discredit people and it seems to me that you, as a Christian should also be concerned about it, but you have shown here and in the past that you are prone to unethical behavior.

None of that matters. It is well stated by the voters that they were dissatisfied with the Bush handling of both Hurricane Katrina and the War in Iraq,
PLUS
Bush's legislative defeat regarding Social Security Reform,
PLUS
the culture of corruption, which were the series of scandals in 2006 involving Republican politicians.
Froggie,
There actually are websites dedicated to exploring the possibility of the Donald Young-Barack Obama connection whereas there are absolutely none in reference to the grotesque accusation you leveled at me.
I suggest you drop such unfounded, libelous actions.
None of that matters. It is well stated by the voters that they were dissatisfied with the Bush handling of both Hurricane Katrina
Please answer my above question re: "Who had the primary responsibility, according to the plan in place at the time, of respondinbg to a hurricane like Katrina in New Orleans/Louisiana? Los Federales or state and local officials?" before commenting on this thread.
It matters not how the MSM decided to spin the blame for Katrina, but who in fact was in charge in such an event like the aftermath of a hurricane the magnitude of Katrina.
JD,
Katrina was only one small part of the reason that the Republicans got kicked out in 2006. If you read what I wrote you will see the other reasons.
Who was responsible for Katrina had nothing whatsoever to do with my response to Lopez who claimed that the republicans were kicked out because of imaginary accusations, which I have already shown to be a classic fail of logic.
By the way. The CIC was ultimately responsible for overseeing the disaster. It was a federal affair.
Hey JD, as much as I almost universally disagree with all of President Obama's politics, one of the things I have respected about him is the absence of all the sex scandals. To me it makes sense that his biography wouldn't focus on his past romatic relationships since he's currently a married man and he wants his legacy to be his contributions in the political arena (although I think history will show many to have brought ill effects).
May you and yours have a blessed Christmas JD
Froggie:
#1. Please answer whether or not this is the second time you have brought the topic of child rape this week. Yes or no. Once you have confirmed that you have, the follow up discussion will involve why you did so.
#2. You will either provide a time-stamped source prior to yesterday's date concerning your child rape allegation or you will apologize and retract your statement. In a like manner, I can provide numerous sources concerning Obama's the alleged involvement with Donald Young beginning shortly after Mr. Young's untimely demise.
Repeat after me Froggie. Apples.. Oranges.. Apples.. Oranges.. Apples.. Oranges..
The CIC was ultimately responsible for overseeing the disaster. It was a federal affair
I would like to know the source of this information being that it contradicts the National Response Plan that was in effect at the time.
Hey JD, as much as I almost universally disagree with all of President Obama's politics, one of the things I have respected about him is the absence of all the sex scandals
Thanks for dropping by Tracy! However, it would appear that you, like many other people, are unaware of who Vera Baker is. I blame a complicit Mainstream Media for this one.
Merry Christmas kiddo!
