What they're not telling you about the Trayvon Martin murder..‏

That accused killer of (apparently) unarmed Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman (above) is a wacky, probable cop-sniffer wannabe is my first impression of this nutjob. However, one thing that the MSM is completely glossing over is that Mr Zimmerman isn't exactly very W.A.S.P.Y...

"Because Zimmerman, as you can see below, is Hispanic—not white.

Moreover, in a letter published by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel, Zimmerman’s father describes his son as “a Spanish speaking minority with many black family members…” who grew up in a multiracial family. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D.-MO), chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, believes that this is a federal “hate crime” and that it should be investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice. There have been marches, petitions and demonstrations against Zimmerman’s supposed “racism”—and that of the Sanford police. Rev. Al Sharpton is making his presence known as well.

Apparently, no one has seen a photo of George Zimmerman or heard that he is Hispanic. Would they be crying, “hate crime” so loudly if they knew Zimmerman is Hispanic?

Law enforcement should, of course, investigate further, if for no other reason than the facts certainly seem to show that Zimmerman used excessive force."

I wonder if it must be quite unsettling for such a complete and verifiable anti-semite like Al Sharpton to know that any time he enters a room full of people, he's probably BY FAR the biggest racist in the room. Bar none. But for a man whose lowliness is second only to Jesse Jackson, I doubt we'll see anything short of adulation by the left of these con-men of the 1st Degree who wouldn't truly want racial harmony to exist in a million years. If that ever did occur, they'd both be out of a job.

On Obama, race, and Fast and Furious

Obama begins playing the race card and the primaries haven't even heated up yet...

"At a forum on American Latino Heritage, President Obama goes through a litany of ideas that he is for, including his new stimulus, and ends with "none of this matters to Republicans in the Senate." One of those ideas is believing America is "a place where every child, no matter what they look like, where they come from, should have a chance to succeed."

On a related note, if anyone is still under the delusion that the election of Obama would help bring about a post-racial society, then Thomas Sowell's latest article is a great read and a real eye-opener for the selectively myopic. Sowell mentions the release of the blockbuster, new novel titled Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department by former Justice Department attorney J. Christian Adams. He concludes the article by stating...

"The Department of Justice under Attorney General Eric Holder has not only turned a blind eye to blatant evidence of voter fraud, it has actively suppressed those U.S. Attorneys in its own ranks who have tried to stop that fraud.


Even in counties where the number of votes cast exceeds the number of people legally entitled to vote, Eric Holder's Justice Department sees no evil, hears no evil and speaks no evil -- if the end result is the election of black Democrats. It has become the mirror image of the old Jim Crow South.


This is an enormously eye-opening book which makes painfully clear that, where racial issues are concerned, the Department of Justice has become the Department of Payback. A post-racial society is the last thing that Holder and Obama are pursuing."

If I may be so bold as to make a prediction, I think Attorney General Holder can expect to have the opportunity to closely examine the undercarraige of a large bus very soon if Obama's words are being interpreted correctly...

"Maybe no one noticed, but he actually threw Eric Holder under the bus on the “Fast and Furious” gunrunner program saying he had confidence in Holder; this remark was a set up. He knows that Holder is on his way out and he pitched a curve to Holder when he said, “both he and Holder would be “very unhappy” if guns were allowed to pass through to Mexico in a way that could have been prevented.”


Obama is pretty confident his backside is covered in the “Fast and Furious” gunrunner program and he definitely knows that he just dealt Holder a losing hand."

EDIT: Townhall.com is wondering aloud as to whether or not Obama knew about "Fast and Furious" even before Holder did.

Let's Play 'Who Can Spot the Racist?'

Or perhaps we can call it "A Tale of Two Racism Accusations". Let us critically examine two cases of alleged racism by association and then measure as to which accusation better withstands scrutiny. First up, Texas governor and GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry. Columnist Brent Bozell explains why the hushed tones of unsourced accusations of racism seem to be unsourced for good reason.

"Is there a clumsier group of newspaper character assassins than the hit squads at The Washington Post? On Oct. 1, the Post was back on the racist-Republican attack with a 3,000 word, investigative treatise over a rock. Specifically, Gov. Rick Perry had leased a property where the N-word was painted on a rock, and then he had it painted over with white paint.

But investigative genius Stephanie McCrummen could see a virtual Klan hood on Perry's head. "As recently as this summer, the slab-like rock -- lying flat, the name still faintly visible beneath a coat of white paint -- remained by the gated entrance to the camp."

Near the end, she underlined it again: "In the photos, it was to the left of the gate. It was laid down flat. The exposed face was brushed clean of dirt. White paint, dried drippings visible, covered a word across the surface. An N and two G's were faintly visible."

Three thousand words on this.

Apparently, investigative reporting at the Post means staring at old rocks under paint (with a microscope?) to discern almost invisible letters and suggesting this should ruin a presidential campaign."

Bozell goes on to mention that two days later the Washington Post ran an article to support the contention that Perry has a "complicated" record on race.

"Yes, Perry "appointed the first African-American to the state Supreme Court and later made him chief justice" and oh, yes, "One chief of staff and two of his general counsels have been African-American." But many "minority legislators (read: Democrats) say Perry has a long history -- dating to his first race for statewide office more than 20 years ago -- of engaging in what they see as racially tinged tactics and rhetoric to gain political advantage."

What kind of offensive tactics? Guess what's listed first: "Black lawmakers have been particularly troubled by Perry's recent embrace of the Tea Party movement."

I wonder if these particular black lawmakers are also concerned about the Tea Party's embrace of Allen West and Tim Scott. Probably so and with good reason. People may begin to realize that simply hurling unfounded accusations of racism at a political movement that clearly isn't racist doesn't add up and that might mean that they now have to debate the issues rather than engage in their preferred method of ad hominem attacks and thus they will likely lose those arguments every time. If they had something a bit more substative to support their arguments, we probably would have seen it by now.

Bozell then goes on to examine the actions of President Obama in order to compare who appears to be more motivated by race here...

"That's not to say the Post was unfamiliar with the scent of this scandal at Obama's own Trinity United Church of Christ. The news folks could have read Post columnist Richard Cohen denouncing [Reverend Jeremiah] Wright in a column on Jan. 15, 2008, over how Trinity's church magazine fulsomely praised anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan. But the Post "news" hunters weren't turning over that rock."

That Obama attended a church that for years was headed by a confirmed bigot is beyond debate. One other item that was not mentioned in Bozell's article was the fact that Obama publicly marched with the highly racist, militant and extremely bigoted New Black Panthers Party while running for president....

"Newly resurfaced photographs show President Obama appearing and marching with members of the New Black Panther Party as he campaigned for president in Selma, Ala., in March 2007.

BigGovernment.com posted the photographs, reporting the images were captured from a Flickr photo-sharing account before they were scrubbed.

The photos are reportedly featured in a book set to be released tomorrow by J. Christian Adams, the Department of Justice whistleblower in the New Black Panther Party, or NBPP, voter intimidation case.

The book is titled "Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department."

Among the people visible in the pictures with Obama is NBPP Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, a defendant in the voter intimidation case that Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed in 2009.

Also present was the Panthers' "Minister of War," Najee Muhammed...

The NBPP is a controversial black extremist party whose leaders are notorious for their racist statements and for leading anti-white activism.

Shabazz himself has given scores of speeches condemning "white men" and Jews.

The NBPP's official platform states "white man has kept us deaf, dumb and blind," refers to the "white racist government of America," demands black people be exempt from military service and uses the word Jew repeatedly in quotation marks.

Shabazz has led racially divisive protests and conferences, such as the 1998 Million Youth March in which a few thousand Harlem youths reportedly were called upon to scuffle with police officers and speakers demanded the extermination of whites in South Africa."

There is no doubt that Obama, like other liberals, absolutely LOVES to engage to identity politics, but does he have to affiliate with such extreme bigots when he does so? Add to this Obama's "typical white person" comment and it becomes all the more obvious as who is far more deserving of the charge of racism in this side-by-side comparison between Obama and Perry.

To a More Colorful Republican Party

Fresh on the heels of observing that gays are gravitating to the Right, Rob Schwarzwalder writes that...

"The Republican Party is no longer near-monochromatic. For strictly political reasons alone, this is good news for the GOP. By about 2040, whites will be outnumbered by the aggregate number of African-, Latino- and Asian-Americans.

For Democrats, this demographic shift once would have been welcome political news, since minorities – especially African-Americans – were considered among their most reliable voters.

No longer: This week, roughly twice as many blacks voted Republican as in 2008. Latino Republican voters also increased, albeit more modestly. Slowly but with deliberate intentionality, the Grand Old Party is succeeding in breaking the hold of the Democratic Left on persons of color."

Schwarzwalder goes on to quote African-American scholar Shelby Steele who explained why certain inroads were not made sooner by the GOP into minority communities, quote, "Precisely because Republicans cannot easily pander to black grievance, they have no need to value blacks only for their sense of grievance. Unlike Democrats, they can celebrate what is positive and constructive in minority life without losing power." In other words, why vote for the other guys when the democrat party promises such goodies and handouts to minority communities that they unfortunately became dependent upon and in the end created a dysfunctional system of interdependence between the two. To minority communities for handouts and the democrat party for their votes. It didn't hurt the democrat cause that liberals would then paint such conservative principles as self-reliance and personal accountability as cold-hearted whenever the subject of getting people off of welfare rolls came up.

It is intersting to note that two African-Americans that are fast climbing the ladder of success in this country are being largely ignored by the black political establishment in this country. I refer to Representatives-elect Allen West (R-FL) and Tim Scott (above, R-SC). Why do I get the feeling that the Congressional Black Caucus won't be waiting for them in DC with gift baskets upon their arrival? Because they don't fit the mold of the "blame everybody else and seek out federal dollars that will be misspent in their communities" that have been sent to Washington in the past. Why upset the apple cart? During the campaign, those affiliated with the Tea Party movemet in the US were inaccurately portrayed as racists. However on Friday, Allen West explained that such mischaracterizations rang hollow stating, "So I think that the -- the liberal progressives saw the strength of the grass-roots movement that we call the Tea Party which stands for 'taxed enough already' and they tried to turn against it..And the number one thing that you always try to do to silence an opponent in the United States of America is to call someone a racist..And we see that that did not work whatsoever..Well, I think the most important thing with our race is that we ran on honor, integrity and character,".

Star Parker expounds upon the race hustling of the NAACP in this last campaign, explaining...

"We have arrived in post-racial America but establishment blacks – lodged in the political left – refuse to accept it and are doing all they can to get black citizens to refuse to accept it.

The sobering reality is that the black political establishment doesn’t want Dr. King’s dream. They don’t want an America where people are judged by the content of their character. They want an America that is Democrat and left wing and this is what they promote today under the banner of civil rights.

The campaign by the NAACP and leading black journalists – all liberals – to paint the Tea Party movement, the push back against government growth and intrusiveness over the last two years, as motivated by racism is shameful.

Shortly before the elections, the NAACP produced a tome called “Tea Party Nationalism,” alleging racist connections to the Tea Party movement.

The day before the elections, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson wrote a column suggesting that the Tea Party movement was a well funded racist pushback against President Obama which started the day of his inauguration.

Tim Scott and Allen West, our new black Republican congressmen, are both aggressive and unapologetic voices for everything the Tea Party movement stands for."


Also mentioned in Parker's article is that there were a total of 14 black Republicans running for congress in the last election. That such a tsunami may continue and that people of color may now realize the benefits of conservatism and end the reliance upon government largess for their existance.

The Media's Double Standard when it comes to Race

The Washington Examiner is reporting that an email was sent out last Wednesday to Department of Education employees from Secretary Arne Duncan's office asking them to attend race hustler Al Sharpton's much smaller counter rally, to Glenn Beck's Restore the Honor rally (above) in Washington D.C. last weekend on the anniversery of Martin Luthr King Jr's famous I Have a Dream speech . Could you imagine if a Bush appointee sent out an email to employees asking them to attend such a rally like Beck's? I wonder how that would have been received. Condemnation probably would have been immediate and one would expect that there would be calls for the Secretary to step down. But since Duncan is a member of the favored party, no such calls will be forthcoming from the Mainstream Media complex for his scalp.

One might with equal reason assume that a challenge offered by columnist Mychal Massie to Sharpton and others will similarly be ignored. Massie specifically points out that "Walter Fauntroy blasted Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally and said the Ku Klux Klan and the tea party have to be "used interchangeably." To which Massie began to educate Mr. Fauntroy on the historical inaccuracies in his comparison...

"First of all, Fauntroy should acquaint himself with factual history. It was the Democratic Party, which he belongs to, that founded the Ku Klux Klan. Secondly, as long as he and liberal Democrats are offended that Beck would have his rally on the same date and venue as Dr. King's march, they should explore another piece of factual history.

The Ku Klux Klan was founded on Dec. 24, 1865. Shouldn't he, as a minister, be offended that the party he belongs to and shills for founded a terrorist hate group whose expressed purpose was to terrorize, intimidate and murder Jews, Blacks, Catholics and whosoever else they would, on the sacred eve of Christ's birth? As a minister, which should be more offensive, Beck's rally or that tidbit of fact?"

Concerning his debate challenge, Massie adds..

"Specific to that point, I say it's time for the likes of Fauntroy, Marc Morial of the National Urban League and Al Sharpton to defend their rhetoric. Over the years, I have quietly offered to debate these types – now I throw down the gauntlet and publicly challenge them. I will personally secure a venue to debate any one, or all of them together, pursuant to the legitimacy of their comments. After all, perhaps they have been misquoted or taken out of context. Perhaps they intended to say something else.

Fauntroy, [Marc] Morial and Sharpton are brave attackers in the comfort of their minions – but my challenge is now on the table to see if they have the collective backbone to face me in a debate. It's easy to throw stones from behind a fence, but let them step out and defend themselves publicly.

After all, it's just little ol' me. They can't be afraid to face me in a debate. Fauntroy and Sharpton are former presidential candidates, and Morial is certainly accustomed to making accusations from the secure confines of the National Urban League. Here is their chance to defend their convictions, in a public forum, against a lowly essayist such as myself.

C'mon boys, are you going to step up, or are you cowards talking loud and saying nothing, for the sake of fomenting discord?"

I don't really know that much about the respective records of Fauntroy or Morial regarding race relations. However, in the case of Sharpton, it would be highly inconsistent for him to accept such a debate when he has built an entire career upon "fomenting discord" and dodging the facts in efforts of self-promotion and the continued balkanization of American society.
