The mystery of Obama's birth

Is the title of today's article by Joseph Farah. I got a laugh out of it.
"The more we learn, the less we know.
Those who want to accept, at face value, the president's assertion that he was born in Honolulu Aug. 4, 1961, to Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham say asking questions about the president's constitutional eligibility is crazy because "you don't have any evidence to challenge it."
Try going to the Department of Motor Vehicles to get a driver's license without any documents and tell the clerk he or she doesn't have any evidence that you're not qualified to drive.
That's not the way it works. The onus should be on the person claiming the highest office in the land to provide the evidence that he is eligible.
So far, Obama has not provided even a shred of evidence to suggest he is qualified. "
Couple that with the fact(s) that it has now come to light that Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was in Seattle with baby "O" a mere 15 days after giving birth to him, had already found an apartment and was registered for classes. The article states that airlines prohibited air travel by infants of less than 6 weeks old until 1972 which only serves to thicken the plot.
All of this seems only mildly suspicious when it's becoming quite clear that O's parents did not reside at the 6085 Kalanianaole Highway address that was listed on his birth announcement in local newspapers. I'm certain that the MSM is getting around to reporting all of this to us, however they seem to be more interested in the fact that firms tied to Obama and his top aides are profitting handsomely for pushing the hard sell on national health care.

Just one pesky little fact: If you are born to even ONE US Citizen parent who has the right to pass along their citizenship to his/her child, YOU ARE A NATURAL BORN US CITIZEN. Doesn't matter if you are born in Ouagadougou, Timbuktu, Niameh, Santiago, Tokyo or Honolulu. His mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth. Get a life! AnneG in NC

Sorry for the last comment. Problem is, I see Pres Obama as a very poor imitation of the worst president in history, Jimmy Carter. And he's doing worse faster! But, spending time on where he was born and whether he was a US citizen at the time is a waste of time. He is president, like it or not and more and more of the loons who voted for him don't, thank God. But, belaboring this birth thing is a waste of energy. I came to your blog to check it out after seeing a post on Fr D's blog and I agreed with you. But, please, just drop it and use your obvious wit on more appropriate things. You are funny and convincing. AnneG in NC

Where did you come across this definition of yours Anne? Could you please provide a link? This article contains alot of information on the subject. Might we both agree that if only Obama would release his COLB long form that all off this would go away?

Anne, from the article I cited above....

"Citing the U.S. State Department, he writes: "A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child)."

"Obama was born before 1986 to married parents, and his father was an alien," Taranto wrote. "Thus if it were an overseas birth, his mother would have to have lived in the U.S. for 5 years after age 14 in order for her child to be a natural-born American. Mrs. Obama was only 18 when Barack was born, so she had not even lived 5 years after age 14."
